Default can i delete the files in Cache directory?

    Hello Guys,

I have the 1.3.8a zencart installed on my 1and1 server and recently i see that my hosting will not let me upload any more files due to the limitation numbers of my files. I have tried deleting some not usable files so i can bring my limit to to the low as possible but still have no limit to add more products to my page.

i was going through the Cache folder on my main folder and i saw there is so many files siting there , and my main question was if i can delete those cache files and it wont be hard for my zencart store?

    please guide me to that.

    Thank you

You must be using a module that generates files in the cache such as SSU or cache query. The answer to your question is YES you can delete the cache folder content.

A lot of shared servers are putting limits based on file count so if you have a module that keep generating files in the cache you might want to find a cron job to empty the cache regularly.
