Cannot get FCKeditor to show up

ZC version 1.3.7
FCKeditor version 2.6.4.1
All editor adminfolders permission settings to 777

I have installed all 3 folders to the root directory and left the "admin" folder named "admin"

When I go to My Configuration>My Store> HTML Editor... I cannot find the FCKeditor as an option

I have spent about 3 hours trying, reading, un-installing and installing again. Site has been up and active for over 2 years and everything else functions fine.

If you are not seeing it, then you are sending the mod to the incorrect place.

The FCK module has the following folders:

admin
editors
myfiles

So, you need to open your FTP program, and in the Left Frame (your computer), navigate to the FCK folder level where you see:

admin
editors
myfiles

-------------------------------------------------------------------

In your FTP Right Frame (server), navigate to your ZC installation root, where you will see (possibly amongst other folders) the following:

admin
cache
download
editors
email
images
includes
media
pub

-------------------------------------------------------------------

As the instructions say, if you have (at some point in the past) re-named your admin folder, then it's just a case of re-naming the FCK admin folder to that name too: EG...

When you are at the SAME DIRECTORY LEVELS in both left and right FTP frames, just click the right arrow to send eveything to the server.

The FOLDERS will NOT OVERWRITE the server folders... The files will just be transferred to their correct places. During FTP. FOLDERS are NOT overwritten. Only FILES can be overwritten (if they exist as duplicate names) on the server.

Hi there,
I have loaded FCK editor up and I am able to select it in the zen cart admin. It shows and works in the EZ pages and the product pages but it does not appear in the 'newsletter' function. Any ideas?

Dear schoolboy,
call me naive.. but ( perhap me beeing on a mac.. using an other sort of ftp programm??) but when i upload a folder called the same name as my admin, the folder will def. take over...
I use cyberduck.. i suppose you are on a pc?
I do also have a great problem installing both tiny mce as well as the fckeditor.
get the message that i have no permissions. it's driving me up the wall.
I think it has to do with the 1.3.9. update..???

PC, Mac, whatever - the folder is just a name, and can't 'take over' anything. If you have files in the folder that's being uploaded, they will overwrite those files with the same file name (if you allow it), or will be added to the folder on the server.
