Default Setting up PayPal Express Question about IPN

I am in the process of setting up PP Express and have it activated in ZenCart. I have a business account with PayPal. A question though: Do I need to activate IPN with PayPal? And what would the notification URL be? I see an ipn_main_handler.php in ZenCart? Can i use that URL? Is that even necessary with PayPal Express?

Can someone give me a pointer here? Really appreciate it.

Okay... I've been reading up on this on this forum and it doesn't mention PayPal IPN activation anywhere.. at least the posts I've read. However, in my ZenCart Book I have, it says the below when dealing with PP Express:

"To use PayPal Express Checkout, install and enable this module. This module requires PayPal API credentials and CURL enabled on your server. First, request an API key in your PayPal profile and keep the credentials at hand, and then check that CURL is enabled on your server. If your server uses a CURL proxy, get that proxy
address. Also ensure that the IPN is enabled, and the IPN URL is provided in your PayPal profile.

Hence my question. Is that correct? Do I need to activate IPN in my PayPal account? And with what Notification URL?

    Thanks

If you want your store to receive notices about transaction updates such as echecks clearing and refunds etc, then YES, you do want to enable IPN in your PayPal account profile. And, yes, point it to the ipn_main_handler.php URL for your store.
(If it's already pointed to another URL because of eBay or other things you're doing, that's fine, as long as it's set to a valid working URL, is all that matters.)
