Tax rounding to highest whole number with my custom addon

I am writing my own addon to zen cart....

I have this to calculate my tax (trying to use zens built in stuff rather than writing it myself):

Code:

zen_calculate_tax($price,	 zen_get_tax_rate($tax_class));

problem is when I plug-in (for example) $203.37 I get $14.00. I should be getting $13.73

what am I missing?

What are your tax settings?

Have you an URL where we could perhaps peek at this?

What Product(s) are in the Order where this is happening?
