Basically when I log into the Admin Page I DON'T WANT THE FOLLOWING TO DISPLAY:
1) "Check for Updates" Button
2) "Support Site" Link
3)"Version" Link
If I know which file to edit & comment out, I can go back into those file & undo the changes if I do need to re-display, if I want.....
Thank you.
Ok, I figured out how to remove the "Support Site" Link, & "Version" Link, Now I'm just down to the "Check for Updates" Button.........
Navigate to ../admin/includes/header.php and search for
Quote:
It should be around Line 230.Code:<a href="http://www.zen-cart.com/" class="headerLink" target="_blank">' . HEADER_TITLE_SUPPORT_SITE . '</a>
To DELETE that link all together I Believe you would delete this chunk of code completely:
Quote:
But make sure to include the ending | or you'll have double the spaces between the remaining links.Code:<a href="http://www.zen-cart.com/" class="headerLink" target="_blank">' . HEADER_TITLE_SUPPORT_SITE . '</a> |
Again, I didn't try this but I'm pretty sure that should work for you.
Never mind, i found out how to do it!!!!!!!! (same file)
So, basically, you're wanting to prevent your customers from being able to be kept informed of new releases, prevent them from knowing where to get free support and limit their ability to find out what software they're *really* using?
Sounds shady. Sounds typical of actions done by people charging their clients for software they obtained for free, hoping to keep them from knowing about it.
