HELP!! How can i setup shipping charges for uk & usa

hiya guys

zencart newbie here and im finding it all a little complicated to setup my shipping.

Can you guys please advise of the easiest way to allow shipping to the UK & USA please?

i tried reading the tutorials but to be honest, i found it all rather confusing.

There is no point configuring your shipping UNTIL you know WHO is going to do the shipping for you.

For example... if you are using Royal Mail, then you need to understand HOW they apply their rates with regard to:

servcice type
weight / size
destination

If you are using an independent shipper (eg: FedEx), there MIGHT be a module that will (using cURL) grab the rates off their servers and apply them to your system.

So... decide WHO will do your shipping, choose one (or more) of the services they offer, and only then can you configure shipping modules to suit their service options.

When you have chosen a shipper, come back to this thread and we can advise further...

Good... that's a start.

But...

Royal Mail is COMPLEX to set up...

There are some modules that appear to handle Royal Mail

... so try that one. I don't use it because I have set up my own RM module(s) - different for each client as the various services they use for RM differ.
