Fundraising Questions: Allowing for payments to different organizations?

I have a client and current ZC user who wants to start up a new fundraising website for different charities. Problem is he wants it where the customer can go online, select the charity of his/her choice and then the charity automatically gets a payment on a monthly or quarlerly basis depending upon the amount of orders to his/her account. Is this doable with ZC and if so, how?

Does your friend want to be an intermediary here... taking a small % of the donation?

Or is the objective purely to be a philanthropist?
