Help Remove catagories off main page, but list subcatagories of main page

I would like to remove the main page catagories, but keep the subcatagories on.

OK, so you want to alter the display of the categories sidebox. The best way would be to use Categories Dressing from Free Addons. Its support thread has discussions with people who have done the same or similar things.
