Hi. I would like to set up a site with around 5 "static" pages and a link to the store. Store would have products show up in the main column (no sides). I've been looking all over but no luck. Any help? Thanks so much.

You'll have to be more specific about what you want to accomplish.
I'd like a site with these pages: homepage, about us, Our Store, our guarantee, why buy from us, contact us (as main pages). Each would have a username/password area in the header along with the above menu.
I would like the store and all associated pages (zen cart checkout, etc) to be linked to the the Our Store menu. It will have one-column on the left but I'd like to have the products (only 2) show up right smack in the middle of this store page. Will remove the products, categories from the left-sidebar.
I'm having trouble grasping the concept of how to create the separate "static-looking" pages as well as the store one. I hope this makes better sense. Thank you so much again.
could there be a template with this sort of format?
something like this: http://www.anomalyrecords.net/
but really want to use full zen-cart functionality rather than the Sanguine Easy Embed Template.
That site (I'd guess) just created the flat HTML start page and named it index.html, with a link to the Zencart installation (Store). Zencart opens with index.php and most hosts load index.html first. After that, it's just a matter of styling Zencart to look like the start page (or vice-versa).
If you want a site that works like your example, you can make the homepage (with define_main_page.php) titled Artists, instead of creating a new static page. That appears to be what they did, though I am not familiar with how the ############## template functions. You don't need to use that to get the effect.
Thank you. I think that is exactly what i'll do. use the define_xxx_page options!
and for the record, that site IS using the "full zen-cart functionality". The Sanguine Easy Embed template is simply a styling shell that wraps around a Zen Cart store.. The WHOLE site (except the blog of course) is build using Zen Cart. (it's the only way the site would qualify for the Zen Cart showcase..)
Tardy to the party, but that is EXACTLY what we did.. The only reason we used the Sanguine Embedded template is for one simple reason: That's what the client wanted.. They INSISTED on it.. It wasn't a battle worth fighting with them, and I let it slide since I was happy enough that I was able to talk them into getting rid of the static HTML pages that used to make up a majority of their site's "non-commerce" pages. (Once I showed them how it could be done in Zen Cart)
