Simply change the status name in Admin->Localisation->Orders Status

    Order Number: 185

    Detailed Invoice:
    xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Date Ordered: Thursday 03 May, 2012

Your order has been updated to the following status:

The date is automatically chosen based on the date on which the order was placed.

The text for the email message itself is found in the language orders.php language file, but the date cannot be edited there, as it comes from the actual order itself.

Yes, but why is it giving my the date with 2 years in advance while the order was placed 2-3 days ago? The date and time in admin side is correct. Its just the email sent to customer when I change the order status.

I reckon it has to be something with date formats as it states d-m-Y in UK... any clues DrByte? It's been really annoying for a while.

Well, I don't know what date is stored in *your* database for each order record, so I can't really tell whether it's a problem with interpreting your date settings *before* saving the data or *after* reading the data.

When you first installed Zen Cart it came set up with a US-based date format, which evidently you didn't like so you changed it. Perhaps you did something incorrect in the changes you made?

I might suggest starting with this article to see whether it was followed correctly: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=401

Nope. Both files match with article. That was done some time ago and the error still came up.

I remember now that I had wrong date in admin site when I was checking the order. So I went to orders.php and change zen_date_long to zen_date_short and the date was correct...

    Thanks anyway
