    Default Re: Here's a Super Easy Slideshow

    Ok, now it becomes really crazy. I cannot get it to work so I make some test.

    I cut out the script and test only the path from the admin area using absolute path.

    <img src="http://IP-Address/~userid/catalog/images/item.jpg" />

    This works ok.
    I then think to reduce the address to <img src="../catalog/images/item.jpg" />

    This works ok - that is what I thought. When I look again at the code in admin it has resolved to the absolute path again!!!

    Ok, if I must use absolute path, then I will.
    Now I put in script using absolute path, not working.
    Ok, only use one image, still not working (and I remove trailing comma from last image)
    Perhaps it must have more than one image. Now I put in another image, still no good.
    Every thing I try does not work.

    The thing is this, when I look at the script in admin, it is not there!!! only this <script language="JavaScript"></script> The actual script is missing but it is in /public_html/catalog/includes/languages/english/html_includes/barebones/define_main_page.php

    I do not think my zencart is configured for JavaScript.
    Is there something I must change in zencart for javascript to work??? Must I open a new thread for this single question.

    Please help.

    Hi,

    I am new the web programming. May I know which file should I place the following code?

    #welcome {
    height:500px;
    width: 500px;
    margin: auto;
    margin-bottom: 10px;
    }

    The final four lines of javascript - I changed it (even though it says do not edit below this line) - because the image urls in the top do not match the bottom - this is the correct last 4 lines of code:

    -------------------

    <IMG NAME="Ad_Image" SRC="../images/slideshow/slides1.jpg" BORDER=0>
    </A>

    <br>
    </div>

    This makes the image load right away instead of being a white screen waiting for 5 seconds before showing the image.

    Check it out at thecadetstore.com

    Since the script as posted opens with
    <div id="welcome">
    you don't need another <p> tag; all you need is to add to the rule in your stylesheet
    Code:
    #welcome {
    	height:500px;
    	width: 500px;
    	margin: auto;
    	margin-bottom: 10px;
    	text-align: center;
    }

    TY for this super script- I dont need anything fancy just an easy way of presenting product...

    I have changed my show 3 times and when I first enter into the page the same image comes up - it is of a glass of drink. then it cycles thru my show. It only shows up on the first pic of the page when I first land on the page. I cleared my cache. did nto work - I am wondering what could cause this? here is my coding for the current slideshow. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    //set image paths
    src = ["../images/medium/mh141636_med.jpg",
    "../images/medium/mh141635_med.jpg",
    "../images/medium/mh141634_med.jpg",
    "../images/medium/mh141633_med.jpg",
    "../images/medium/mh141632_med.jpg",
    "../images/medium/mh141631_med.jpg"]

    //set corresponding urls
    url = ["http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_222_224&products_id=7531",
    "http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_222_224&products_id=7537",
    "http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_222_224&products_id=7536",
    "http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_222_224&products_id=7532",
    "http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_222_224&products_id=7533",
    "http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_222_224&products_id=7535"]

    //set duration for each image
    duration = 2;
