help with 4 a cross columnar display

Im trying to style a box surrounding the individual product areas set up using the column_layout_grid contribution to create a 4 across display. For reference see

I'm trying to create some space between these boxes, and it appears that the width is set someplace (i cant find) and so when I add a margin dimension to the containing div, the widths increase and the 4th box wraps onto the second line.

I'm not sure if I'm in need of a css solution or need to modify a module but I'm stuck where I am so any thoughts in either direction would be appreciated.

It looks like you can gain a little room by turning off the right column globally in Admin - Configfuration - Layout Settings.

You may have to widen #mainWrapper a little to make room.

I think the widths are set as percentages (25% with 4 across).

yes the fact that the widths are 25% is what complicates it as no matter how wide I make the center column they will fill it.

Any idea what template controls that. I cant seem to find it

Hopefully your border is not some crazy amount of added width
