ENTRY_STATE field remains empty

Hey there

I'm having a strange problem. In the zen_address_book table the state that is used at login does not get entered into ENTRY_STATE. The field remains empty.

I have tested it and ensured that it is presented to the user at login, and have filled it in on my test user, but the information never makes it to that database.

In the Customer Details section of the admin I have:

State: True
State - Always display as pulldown: True

Anyone got any ideas?

If it is, I have no idea where to start looking.

Turns out that the state is recorded through a connection to a zone (ENTRY_ZONE) and then cross-references the zones table, but I'd still like it dropped into this field to remove that step (we're downloading sales info into a local program).

Anyone got any ideas?

Oops. I had misread your post and interpreted it as something you were seeing on-screen when using the website.

As for the field in the database, you are correct. Zen Cart ONLY sets EITHER the state OR the zone, never both. It only reads the state field if the zone has no information in it. Having both fields populated is likely to create confusion within the program.
