Best Sellers Sidebox not showing

Hello,

Firstly, sorry to start a new thread on this but after spending quite a lot of time trawling through posts I haven't found my answer so here goes.

I am running two seperate shops, both on Zen Cart v1.3.8
Additions of all of my sideboxes etc so far have gone without fail. Now though when I go to add the best sellers sidebox, it seems to install without fail, shows in the layout boxes controller, but does not show up on the shop front end on one of the shops
The two shops are running on the same host, with different templates, with as I say, one shop showing the best sellers and one not.

the shop showing the best sellers is:-

the shop not showing the best sellers (but otherwise layout is working) is:-

Any help out there please?

Have you made any sales from the new store yet? The Bestsellers box doesn't appear until there are bestsellers to list.

Yes I have, don't get me wrong it's only two but it's a start :-)

how many sales of a item do you need for it to start registering.
I have a site that has made some sales but the bestseller module has not started displaying yet. does it kick in at a certian qty sold of a item?

If you have sales, check the setting in the Configuration ... Maximum Values ... for the:

Best Sellers For Box
Number of best sellers to display in box

Best Sellers will show based on the $current_category_id ...

If the customer is logged in and there is a products_id in the URL, then the customers table is checked for this customer to see if they want to have global notification ... if they do ... then the Best Seller will show ...

Otherwise, the Best Sellers will not show ...

Example, without logging in ... navigate between the Home Page, Product Listing and Product _info page where you know a sale of Products has happened ...

Next, login ... then navigate between the Home Page, Product Listing and Product _info page where you know a sale of Products has happened ...

This should help show you the differences between these scenarios ...

Thansk for that i can see it in the sidebar when i log in and go to a page with sales but i would prefer thatthe best sellers displayed all the time so all visitors, logged in or not will see the best sellers - sort of like suggestive selling

can this be done

Also and using the best sellers on front page mod but hat is not displaying either - but if the user must be logged in and in the section that had sales that would never work.

You can make that work by re-writing the way it determines how to do the SELECT statements ...
