Default Payment in different currency causing us to have to manually accept transactions

    Hello,

Running 1.3.8 (http://exclusivedesignergraphics.com) with USD as the default currency. The site is electronic downloads only.

Everything is working fine for customers making their purchases in USD. They place the order, pay via Paypal, and can download immediately without any interaction from us.

Whenever customers make a purchase using the GBP currency, their order has to be manually approved in PayPal before the download can proceed.

Here is the message: PayPal status: Pending multi_currency @ 23:26:54 Apr 16, 2010 PDT
    Trans ID:xxxxx
    Amount: 13.83 GBP

How do we fix this so that order will proceed no matter what currency is selected?

We also "discovered" that the currency does not update automatically. Will be loading the update mod tomorrow on the site after losing about $7USD in the transaction above. :-)

    Your assistance is much appreciated!

The "Pending mulit-currency" is a result of you having your settings in your PayPal account set up to require pre-approval before those transactions are completed.

If you want the transactions to go through immediately, you need to do two things:
    a) Make sure you open a GBP balance in your PayPal account (along with ALL other currencies you intend to accept on a regular basis ... ie: the same currencies you have active in your ZC store)
    and
    b) In your PayPal account profile, under Website Payment Receiving Preferences, in the section that asks you about handling currencies, tell it to automatically deposit the funds into the open balance for that currency. Right now you've got it set to ask you to manually accept the payments.

Thank you very much! I located the PayPal sections you were talking about and toggled the switches. I appreciate your assistance!
