Default Help with modifying my site

I have spent ages making a site with dreamweaver using a photoshop template. you can see how far i have got here: www.yourbabysolutions.com

It was made using pictures rather than css.

Is there a way that I can keep what I have and incorporate different aspects of zen cart into it, or do i have to start from scratch and attempt to make a zen template.

I was planning on keeping the top, left and bottom uniform on all pages.

Many thanks in advance for any help to a very frustrated newbie

That's the way to do it. There isn't anything on your current site that can't be done fairly easily in Zencart.

Put Dreamweaver and Photoshop away and code your design in HTML and CSS.

    Thanks for the info.

Sadly i'm not that good with this kind of thing.

Is there anything that i can salvage so i haven't waisted what seems like a lifetime already?

There aren't really any shortcuts. Zencart is a dynamic database-driven program, and it builds its pages 'on the fly', so there are very few static pages you can edit.

You have the advantage of having a design (and a very nice one) done already that you can use as a guide when styling Zencart, and you can use all the images, etc.

You only need to learn a little about CSS and get the proper tools (an FTP program like Filezilla, a good text editor like Notepad++, and the Web Developer plugin for Firefox) and just jump in. If you run into specific problems, that's what we're here for.

These forums are great when looking for specific information, but when starting out, what you can't figure out by experimenting (the only way to really learn) can usually be found by browsing the tutorials section of this site.

    Cheers Rod.

Been spending A LOT of time over there already!

Slowly but surely starting to get somewhere with it all, and getting my head in a spin in the process lol.

Once i've managed to get everything setup will i be able to upload multiple products/images via a .csv file or similar?
