    my problem:

    Step 2 of 3 - Payment Information
    Please select a payment method for your order.


    but there is no payment method I can select.
    after I delete the shopping cart to empty,
    I try shopping again, the paypal payment method show up now.
    what's wrong is it ? Thank you for help ~~

    I check my paypal express checkout setup no problem.

    Je,
    To enroll other payment method on the checkout process you have to select them from here:

    admin panel/ modules/ payment
    Mark
    Hare Do

    Does the payment module need setup more than 2 type ?
    I only select Paypal express green light .

    but my problem is
    the setp 2 of 3 payment information
    the "payment method" column does not show up.

    after I delete the shopping cart empty ,then try to pay again.
    the " payment method" column will show up. it will show up on the
    second time , not the first time, what's wrong ?

    I try to use paypal express to check out in my office ,
    it's work well.
    but it's not work in my home.
    the internet providers are different.
    therefore, I guess it's the zone setting problem.
    I still have no idea to figure it out.
    because there are lots zones setting.
    (Locations/zones definition , Configuration/mystore/zone,
    Configuration/shipping/country.......)

    I confused how to set it correct?
    I try to read the FAQ many times still do not understand .
    accouding to the FAQ the 1st and 2nd setting has no problem.
    but the 3rd. I do not understand how to solve it ?
    you can see my paypal setting in the above reply.
    any wrong setting ?

    FAQ

    During checkout, if your payment methods aren't showing up, go into Admin> Modules> Payment and check:

    1. Is the payment module Installed? If not, click the Install button on the right-hand infobox. I Installed

    2. Is it enabled? Some payment modules allow you to turn them on or off by clicking the Edit button and setting the status to true/false, on/off, etc. Enable and setting proper.

    3. Do you have any Zones associated with this payment module? If so, then likely by removing the Zone configuration from the payment module will allow you to use it during checkout.

    To properly configure zones with payment modules requires that you create zones to fully match the zones to your customers' addresses. Always be sure to have at least one payment method WITHOUT any zones added to it, or else there will be customers who cannot go through checkout ... and then you'll lose a sale!

    I had the same problem. Do you have google checkout installed?
    I removed google and payment button reappeared.

    I've been using paypal website standard for awhile now and since upgrading to 1.3.9c, I decided to try out paypal express.

    Just using sandbox for now and am getting some sort of error which is similar to above.

    In fact it is intermittent. Sometimes, paypal express will give me the round about, checkout-->login into paypal for payment then goes back to shopping cart--> then back to paypal then back to confirm payment.

    One time it went through fine. Other times when I login to paypal it will bring me back to order confirm with the error "you have to choose a payment method" and there will be none showing like the problem above.

    Anyway, I'm wondering if these problems are mainly sandbox problems? or if anyone is having the same problems?

    I have switched back to website payment standard till I can figure out what is happening.

    Any help will be appreciated!

    I had this problem too. I think it was the Return URL that was the problem (Paypal.com, Profile, Website Payment Preferences, Return URL)

    I think I had something other than "checkout_process" but I don't remember what it was and forgot to mark it down before redoing it.

    Note: When I was having the problem I only had Express Checkout Module Active. Now I have Express and Pro Modules active.
    It's working now. Only Visa and MasterCard work in Pro. Customers will need to know that Express accepts Disc and AM.

    Try changing "Only USD" to "Selected Currency." I had this problem earlier under similar circumstances (only Paypal Express enabled, same settings, same error), and switching that value got it working.

    ... not sure if that means we'll be stuck paying the currency conversions though .

    Maybe there's some code that could fix this while it's enabled? Just started playing with the software yesterday so I haven't gotten that far yet

    I'm having the same problem. I've run a number of scenarios to test the various payment routes and I think I've been able to localise the issue in a a particular payment flow, which leads me to suspect there is a bug.

    I've been able to replicate it a number of times using the Paypal Sandbox to test. This is a fresh install of Zen Cart as well with no modules or additions made yet. It appears to be occurring when you have Paypal Express setup as follows:

    1. The only payment solution on the shop, the others are disabled.
    2. Express Checkout settings are set so that a user still needs to see the Payment Page. So this might be by setting "Select Cheapest Shipping Automatically" to No or Skip Payment Page to "No"

    The process seems to be:
    1. Add a product to the shopping basket
    2. Select the Paypal Express Checkout button
    3. Log into Paypal and then click continue
    4. Return to the shop. If you need to do shipping then you add this as normal and click continue. You then end up on the Payment Page.
    5. On the payment click continue and this is where the "Please select a payment method for your order." error appears.

    I have noticed however that if I click on the shopping basket and select the standard checkout process then on the payment page the Paypal Payment icon and information appears. However, if I tried using the Paypal Express button again on the Payment Page I do get an error.

    The other thing I've noticed is that if I add another Payment Option, eg Check/Money Order then if I do the Paypal Express Checkout route then it does appear to go through.
