Default Display Content based on attribute

I'm wondering if its possible to show a block of content on a product page depending on what attributes are added to a product.

I have various clothing ranges, each with their own particular size options.
I've had to create different option groups for each one,
    e.g
    Manufacturer X Sizes
    Manufacturer Y Sizes
    Manufacturer Z Sizes

What I'd like to do is show a size chart on the product page for the relevant manufacturer. (matching the option menu)

I know about including the text and can do conditions statements, I just can't seem to get the attribute menu value so I can do a compare.

Can anyone tell me the best way to get the attribute menu group id ?

    Thanks

Why would you try to match this against attributes (which is rather complicated) rather than against the product's manufacturer_id (which is straightforward)?

Hi kuroi, I simplified my example a bit.

What I actually have is 6 manufactures with different sizes for trousers and jackets, for men and women

And a few more bits and pieces.

I did go down the manufacturer route and using the catId (as they are split into mens and womens categories) but it started getting a bit too complex.

Understood. I'd persist with plan A though. I think you were on the right route (your original post showed that you have a good understanding of what's needed). and you'll find trying to do this through attributes much more complex.
