admin page 404 error after renaming it (v1.3.9b)

After installing the v1.3.9b as a new install in my demo folder,
I changed the "admin" directory name to "newadminfoldername" by following the instructions in the:
zen-cart-v1.3.9b-full-fileset-04302010/docs/5.renaming_the_admin_directory.html. I changed the 3 occurrences of "admin" to the new directory name which matches the actual new name (newadminfoldername).

But when I type in the address"mydomain.com/demo/newadminfoldername/" I get the 404 error with the following address showing(note newadminfoldername switches back to "admin"):
mydomain.com/demo/admin/login.php?zenAdminID=xxx

Could someone tell me what I'm missing, or where to look?

(mydomain.com/demo displays the demo store fine.)

Ah, found it. File permission didn't allow /admin/includes/configure.php to be updated. Sorry.
