Image sizing

Is there a ways when the manufacter gives yiu thumbnails (and there are a lot) you can change them into the large images with out doing each one of them. Also same question for it they send you large files and you need the thumb nails to inially show in Zen cart until you click the large button. Is there a way to change all of them at one time.

The size of images is governed by the sizes you state in admin >>> images.

It helps if you have Image Handler installed, because this mod requires that you only ever need ONE large image (housed in the main images folder). IH will take that ONE image and re-draw it for you, creating a size automatically, for whatever size parameter is needed for each type of display.

I no longer use ZC's standard MED and LRG feature - I put IH on all sites as it saves huge time when it comes to images.

remember too that you cannot "turn a sow's ear into a silk purse". A small thumbnail cannot be enlarged by very much, AND retain its display quality. you will lose a lot of resolution and sharpness.

A LARGE image, however (via IH2) is easily re-drawn as a thumbnail, and the quality is excellent (better even than an original thumbnail).
