I've seen the threads for this problem in v 1.3.8, but only partially applicable threads for 1.3.9c. I just upgraded from 1.3.8 to 1.3.9c and now customers cannot login. They get the security error message, but I can get into the admin panel without problems. I am also using Numinix's FEC module. Not sure if this has something to do with it.
I have tested across multiple browsers, Firefox, Explorer, Opera, and Chrome. I get the same thing in every instance so this that leads me to believe this is a different problem than the one being reported by other users.
Anyone have any ideas? I opened my template's tpl_login_default file and the stuff about the password is there.
Record Sessions is set to false. No luck with that fix.
