Default function zen_back_link() - Broken in Google Chrome -SSU

I noticed that this outputs in the url when the back button is pressed:

    index.php?main_page=index&/favicon_ico=

This is causing problems with alot of SEO URL Addons.

Mine specific problem is with Simple SEO URL's (SSU)

It cant handle the &/favicon_ico= properly.

Is there a fix for this?

I've tried several ZC back buttons on several sites in Chrome and all worked fine for me.

Sounds like the problem is linked to that spurious favicon text that's getting added. But since that's not part of core Zen Cart, you'll need to look at your add-ons to see where it's coming from.

Default function zen_back_link() - Broken in Google Chrome

The zen_back_link() function does not work properly when using google chrome.

Problem seems to be only when using google chrome, however, i have not tested other browsers besides IE, which works fine.

My guess is google chrome has a different way of handling sessions?

    My Zen-Cart Info:

    Zen-Cart Version 1.3.9c
    Updated from 1.3.9a

I have tested it in IE, and it works fine with IE.

The version of google chrome I am using that is having problems is 5.0.375.55 beta

It is the beta version, so i am not sure what the cause is.

And the fav_icon i dont use... I have not added any mods that use fav_icons at all...

If you're having problems with links that work in other browsers but fail in a beta for Chrome, then that sounds like a problem with Chrome and should be reported to Google. That's why they put it out as a beta.

On the favicon issue, Zen Cart doesn't use favicons either, though it supports them. However it doesn't insert references to them into URLs.

But you're using a URL rewriting mod which will extend or replace completely Zen Cart's URL generation function. That's why I'm suggesting that you look in that mod for the problem. The thing that's puzzling though is that you say it's causing problems in a lot of SEO URL mods, suggesting that you've tried several. And so it might be another mod that is creating problems which manifest in the SEO URL rewriting mods. What are the URLs you get when you turn them off? Are you sure you don't have more than one still installed and interfering with each other? And which back button are you talking about?

Either way, there's no evidence here of a bug in core Zen Cart which is the point of this part of the forum.
