    Default Browser Issues...

    I am aware that websites will display differently in other browsers, but i am not aware of how i can fix this.

    Let me show you my problem:

    IN FIREFOX 3.6.3

    1) The Search bar has been lowered.

    Other than this everything is displaying as it should.

    IN INTERNET EXPLORER 6.0
    1) Shopping cart Sidebox heading is almost completely erased.
    2) Categories Sidebox heading is partly erased.
    3) Centerbox headings have oversized font.
    4) Bestsellers Sidebox numbers are slightly erased.

    You may also notice that the search bar is in its correct position in IE 6.0

    My issue is really how to make it so that both these primary browsers display the site the same way. It's clear that IE has the most bugs but im unsure how to alter my site to fit IE without causing problems in Firefox.

    Any help on this matter will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    1. Change the red part to, say, 175:

    #navMainSearch {
    position: absolute;
    top: -159px;
    left: 665px;
    height: 25px;
    }

    I can't help specifically with the rest, except to say I would suspect the height settings on, say, centerBoxHeading and maybe the others.

    Absolute positioning works differently in IE6 and can be a real pain to troubleshoot.

    One word of advice - instaed of trying to make everything work in all browsers with one stlyesheet, install this:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=493

    and, when you find the problem, create new IE6 (and IE7) specific stylesheets with the necessary changes. Much easier.
