Categories in Admin page says "Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable"

When I log in to my Admin and click Categories/Products a Error message in top left corner appears. It reads:

"Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable"

Any ideas?

Did you check the permissions on that folder?

Use your FTP program to go to the remote files, and right-click on that folder. You'll see either 'Properties' or 'CHMOD' in the menu, which will tell you the current permissions.

You can also use the File Manager in your hosting account to check it. That folder will need to be writable.

Thanks but I wonder if this could be the reason for why my products and images in Categories/products doesnt show up in either the Admin page and website?

I ave used the same FTP program (FireFTP) for my current live webshop. No problems at all with that.

Can it be any other reason for why it doesn show up?
