Login page gives error 404 page not found

Hi folks, First thread so hopefully you can help. I have installed version 1.3.9d but when i click the Login button on the menu bar i get a 404 error page not found. If I try to buy a product i can create and account and login it's just the login button that doesn't seem to link correctly.

was this an upgrade or a clean install?

if it was an upgrade did you modify your configure.php files, as you may have a problem with your path settings

This was a clean install.

Also noticed that I can setup and account during the shopping cart process, this then adds shopping cart and checkout links into the top menu as well as the login and home links but only the home link is working?. All of the others give error 404.

Are you sure you installed v1.3.9? That is an older template for Classic the one in v1.3.9 is green ...

Yes definetly running 1.3.9d. I have been just playing with the layout to see whats what before I do a final design.

Could you switch to the Classic Template and see if that corrects the problem?

If not, could you post the file, from the server, without your username and password for:
/includes/configure.php

Note: peeking around your site it is just the Login link at the top of the page that appears bad and makes me suspect your template as I can go to the site_map and the My Account pages appear fine or add to cart and click the Check Out which takes you to another page to pick Sign Up ...

Hi, I switched to classic template an yes it worked fine. I have uploaded the configure.php as requested.
I have changed the admin folder name as per the tutorial, changed back to the old one today but still have the error.

You have issues with your template header on the Login link ...

That configure.php that you gave is from the Admin ...

The two configure.php files are different ...

NOTE: you gave it as a doc, and I am hoping you are not using MSWord for managing your php files as they need to be edited with a good TEXT editor such as UltraEdit or NoteTab ...

Hi, I found the problem today, checked the tpl_header.php and noticed that all the links had the following prefix

../../template_default/common/

Removed this and now working fine, thanks for the help.
