What causes my problem?

Hi all, I have express check out on 138a.

On occasion I don't receive the create account email when an account is created using the express checkout, I only realize there is a new potential client after going to admin>customers.

I cant seem to isolate the difference that some people are making when creating this account that determines the end result..Me receiving an email..

I do receive new orders without a problem.

A large number of improvements were made to Express Checkout functionality in v1.3.9. Strongly advised to upgrade your site to the latest version.
Without knowing the pattern behind the unique cases you're talking about, I can't say for certain whether it will fix that specific issue, but I do know that a lot of fixes were made to both big and small issues that could provide some relief to the symptoms you mention. Or not.
