Are these categories that are displaying on my home page?

Hello all:

I have one more noob question for you experts.

I have 9 categories that show up here: Categories / Products - By Product Type

I can go in there and add items.

On the front page I believe the 9 categories show up as 9 pictures which when clicked takes them to /index.php?main_page=index&cPath=68_83

Where can I go to tell it which picture to show on the main page for each of those 9 categories?? I did not see a setting anywhere which tells me something like: "To put this image on the front page next to Category X check this box".

admin > catalog > Categories / Products > select the "e" green circle at the right of the category name

Scroll down and see the "Category Image:"
What do you have listed?
If none - - add an image

RIght now it is pulling the categories but do I have a choice as to if I want them to show up on the home page or not??

What if I want to add another EZ-Page UNDER the spot where the categories are showing up now...??

Combination of
admin > config > layout settings >
Categories - Always Show on Main Page
Main Page - Opens with Category
Categories - Always Open to Show SubCategories

What if I want to add another EZ-Page UNDER the spot where the categories are showing up now...??

You did not post a link to your site so how would we know where your categories are showing up?

It is still on my local computer as I am still learning about all this. So unfortunately I cannot send you a link.

My site has 2 columns, left and the broader right column. It is in this right column (which I refer to as the main column) on the homepage, the Categories are showing up, right under the "define_main_page.php" file which I can edit through the Tools >>> Define Pages Editor section. The contents of this file is just a short introductory paragraph. All this is fine.

I guess my question is what do I have to do if I want another EZ-page to show up right under the Categories on the main page....?? Where can I add it to the page????

Sorry if I am not making sense but that is because my ignorance is getting in my way.

That is not a feature in the standard code

OK, understood.

Right now there is a big white space under the Categories.

Is there any way I can add anything in that white space from anywhere in the Zen Cart's control panel....???

While there is no award for "Most Descriptive Text of the Day", you may have come close with "big white space".

Since you are on your home computer, how's about posting a screenshot with maybe an arrow pointing at the "big white space."

You need to familiarize yourself with firefox and the firebug addon. Both should be required for every Zen Cart user. With firebug, you could just right-click on the "big white space" and select inspect element. It will show you the stylesheet and the settings used to make the "big white space."

I will defintely look into the Firefox and the add-on solution.

In the meantime, I have attached two screen-shots of the home page where the "big white space" () resides.

Any help will be much appreciated.
