I got spam on "Contact us"!

Hi Guy,

Thanks you for your viewing and helping! Today, i got 10-20 email spam from "Contact Us" on our website. We use Zencart and we don't know how to stop this?

there are few free addon and one payed service for this ..

you can install Captcha or you can use a service called form armor for your contact us / registration / tell a friend section of your site .

One of the ways is to update to the latest version, 1.3.9d. It won't allow multiple, rapid emails from those areas on the cart.

IF you are unable to upgrade, you could look into one of the captcha mods in the Add Ons.

I would avoid captcha on an e-commerce site. JMHO

There are probably three sides to the issue, but, with the new version, I'd lay off the captcha until something made me think I needed it again. After all, it's supposed to be easy for my customers to shop.

I tried to test this, and was able to send 3 messages in 1 minute. I am running 139e. But since they only go to me, I suppose I could try it w/o the captcha; then add one if I'm getting too much spam. Thanks for your help.

This update should stop them from spamming tell a friend too right? Someone is using this feature to spam a thousand emails a night.
