Default Add-ons info going to transfer with upgrade?

    Hi,

I am planning to upgrade our site to 1.3.9b from 1.3.8a and I see that you have to re-install all of your add-ons. My question is with the Sales Report data and the advanced Cross Sell (all the cross selling of the products) - how can I get all of this info to transfer to the new site...does it transfer if I install the new version to a new database, then install the add ons and then upgrade the database?

Also is all of the info in the meta tags for the categories, products, etc. also part of the data base and will transfer? Just want to do this once properly...as this is my first upgrade.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks,
    Jeff

You will need to merge the changes that the add ons may have made to the core files just like you will the updates for the current v1.3.9 ...

    Thanks Ajeh,

Is there a file in the Sales Report that holds all of the data, that I could merge with the re-install of that add-on?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

I don't know you would have to see if it has been either upgraded for v1.3.9 or if it has been tested yet for v1.3.9 or try it yourself ...

There are threads about the compatibility of these add ons as well as the support threads for the add ons that might help you out on this ...

    Thanks Ajeh,

I will look for this addon and its compatibility here in the forums and once I figure it all out, I will post it back here so any others that have this question will have the answer.

    Thanks again

I have upgraded from v1.3.8 to 1.3.9d and all of the add ons that I am using are working correctly in v1.3.9d. Add ons are sales report, export email address, advanced cross sell, RSS Feed. When you upgrade your database, all of the information is transferred, keeping all of your cross sells, etc and config data. No worries about losing any information with respect to your add ons.
