Upgrade from 1.3.8 to 1.3.9 and now no images

Hi guys - I changed server and also upgraded my store - my store was the 3.8 version and as i was changing servers they have fantastico - i used it and the version was 3.9 -

So I installed zencart using fantastico - imported the database of 3.8 into the one created via fantastico -

uploaded the files over the fantastico ones and now i dont have any images - all the descriptions are fine just no images

any help please

You won't find many fans of Fantastico here.
Silly questions, I know, but....
You have uploaded all images to the new server?
The images folder has the correct permissions?
Did you have some image addon with the original site that's not on the new?

If you're still in the build stage, you might want to blow it all away and start with the 1.3.9d. Make sure you have a backup of any customizations and databases.

Thanks for the reply - Ive just removed the files and tried a standard fantastico install - to my surprise there are no images - so i have been chatting to the host - they offered to do a fresh install - still no images

They said they cant offer support just auto installation - so i said that im not after support just want a correct installation with the zencart logo and banners showing - if the paths or permissions are incorrect then its to do with your installation and not zencart - they will not help

Anyway im going to just try and transfer the files over as they are - i already have the path for the configure.php files so it should be fine - I will stay on 3.8 then follow the instructions to upgrade -

Yes i am using a few addons including image handler 2 and zen lightbox

What's the URL to the site where the images aren't showing? What happens if you try to access the images directly from your browser? The error message from that may point you closer to the cause of the problem.

hmm - thats so strange - ive just done a fresh install and this time have not used fantastico - i did a install of the 3.8 version - even this time it would not show the images - so i done as you advised -

the store is appliancesforyou . co.uk - i typed in /images/1_small.jpg and it redirected me to islamicmodestwear.com - this is another website which i host on the server from which appliancesforyou is being moved from - I have only changed name servers today

unless its just me that is seeing this - i have cleared my cache and everything - just not happening -

im going to try and see if i can overwrite the files now and import the database - im sure the images aint going to show though - It might have something to do with it not propagating over properly - but still i dont know why its redirecting to islamicmodestweare - the only things that these had in commong was that they were hosted on the same server -

appliancesforyou is being hosted on a totally new server

None of the image links look weird except that they don't show. Are you using IP addys or URL in the config. If URL, has dns updated after the move?

ok im not sure what you mean but the config files are using the path like this

/home/MYUSERNAME/public_html/www.appliancesforyou.co.uk/admin/

I know i need to change the admin directory which i will once i can solve the issue - ive changed servers plenty of times and have never faced this issue

ive also ran the fix cach key php file module

just not sure why they are not showing

i would say it has something to do with image handler but then why wouldnt the images show when doing a fresh install - so i havnt checked the image handler 2 thread yet

do you see any reason why the images should not show?

For some reason on my browser - bottom left - whilst the site is loading it keeps pulling data from islamicmodestwear - im thinking this still must be my cach

Yes cleared the cache still no luck - checked all the folder permissions even created a new product uploaded the image through the admin panel and still no image will show

The admin panel has no images too not 1 image is showing anywhere

Any help is appreciated

This is a real head-scratcher. Sure there's no dns cross-link?
Have you tried the new IP in the config versus a URL?
