Best Captcha mod for FEC and login pages?

There are seven or so captcha mods for Zen-cart. Which is best?
Best would be one that is effective yet easy to add, touches few files, and compatible with v1.3.9d and FEC.

I only need it on the login and checkout pages.

login...checkout....its the same page. I want to avoid a bot from creating thousands of accounts, or knowing an email address, doing a brute force attack on an existing account.
