Adding pictures to a template sidebox

Hello, Im new to the forum and to zen cart as well. I just installed zen cart and have been playing with for about a week now. I just don't seem to find how to edit the sideboxes that say Sponsors, Have you seen.... I uploaded a free template and that is working fine but the sideboxes seem to be showing the default settings. How can I change this to add my own text & images. Thanks,

Those sideboxes are your banner boxes and you can edit their content in Admin/Tools/Banner Manager. You can turn them on/off with Admin/Tools/Layout Boxes Controller. Admin/Configuration/Layout Settings has controls for their position. A tutorial here will help you understand how the different banner types work:

If you wish to change the banner sidebox titles, that can be edited in your /includes/languages/your_custom_template/english.php.

I understand all does settings, what I am not getting is how to change the description/link products thats inside the bestsellers sidebox. If you click on the link it will take you to the product info page I want to get rid of what's there now and add my products to that sidebox.

Did you mean Sponsors or Bestsellers ?

If Bestsellers, there's no way i know of to insert products of your choice in that box. It's designed to show, well, your bestselling products.

You could install the Blank Sidebox mod, name it 'Bestsellers' and insert your product links.
