Adding Google Universal Gadget Modules

Greetings group,

I am using 1.3.9b zen cart and would like to possibly add Google Universal Gadget modules to the main page of the site. These modules include useful information like weather, news, etc, and would be useful for customers. I thought of placing a module, which is simply a javascript snippet, in an existing Layout box, but am not sure if this is possible.

Now that I'm thinking of it, I guess the question boils down to whether it is possible to embed javascript into an existing layout module, or perhaps install a new "blank" module that can include any code?

Look for the blank sidebox mod in the downloads area. It's designed for exactly this sort of use.
