Something weird and glitchy

Hi,
Just installing new version 1.3.9 and trying to incorporate the sql data from the old database.

I'm not sure what has happened or whether I've just done it in the wrong order or what....

PS I created a new sql database and then uploaded the old one and then installed the new version of zencart....

looks like an sql error - is there any way to sort it out?

If you are referring to the scrambled images, this happened because they were uploaded in ASCII mode and not Binary mode.

Most FTP programmes are set to 'Auto Detect' the correct mode for the different file types being uploaded - ASCII for text files, Binary for images - but this doesn't always work.

Re-upload only your images and set your FTP programme to Binary Mode.

I'm also unable to see all the old admin data for my customers and website - I guess this is an sql problem?

i can't see your website at all

if its a new install then your best bet is to reinstall the whole cart with a new bd

and add to the new and old cart an add on called "Backup MYSQL Plugin"

back up the old and download the sql file
than hit restore on the new and upload the sql file to the new cart
(you might have to do it twice)

the binary thing was a problem and the I was having fun updating the sql database.

Now it is almost complete just got to sort nochex
