Can you increase max of category title?

Hi,

My category titles at the moment can't be longer than 32 characters long. Is there anyway of increasing this?

You can expand the VARCHAR value of the field(s) in the database, by editing the values in phpMyAdmin.

NOTE that I say FIELD(S)....

There are several fields that will contain the Category Description, and if you increase the varchar of one, then you need to match it up with all the others.

schoolboy, that may not be quite correct.

Within phpMyAdmin choose the 'categories_description' Table in the left-hand column.
Now on the right-hand side side, click the pencil Icon for 'categories_name'
Change 'Length/Values' to 64, click the Save button and your done.

When dealing with the Category Title or name this should be the only change necessary. Note that this change will apply to "all" Categories; Parent, Sub, Sub-sub, etc.
