Admin login error after fresh install

I just did a new install of ZC 1.3.9d and everything seemed to go OK but I get an error when I try to log in to admin. It says that my user name or password is incorrect. I don't think they're wrong. When I request that it resend the password, it says that the email address is incorrect. I notice that the admin URL is https:// and I do have an SSL cert and said as much during install but that may have been a mistake.

Re-installed without checking SSL and all is working fine.

Try deleting your cookies and clearing your cache and see if you can turn it back on ...

If not, try another browser just to rule out cookie issues ...
