New Product link on main page?

Hi there,

I think there has been a new product link in the sidebar on my main page before, but I must have deleted it somehow because I figured I didn't need it. Now I do need it, but I can't get it back. I have searched around the forum and tried a lot of different stuff, but I can't seem to get it back...

My question is; Is there a New Product link somewhere to be placed in the sidebar, along with the different categories? I would like it to be like a category on it's own, that automatically displays all the new products listed the last month for instance...

If it exists: How do I get it back there?

Hi,

In the Admin click on the Configuration menu and select Layout Settings. In the list of options is one called 'Categories Box - Show Products New Link', this needs to be set to True.

The New Products link will also only appear if there actually are new products to list.

But where and how do I say who old a product can be and still be listed as new?

It is hiding away under Configuration > Maximum Values > New Product Listing - Limited to ...

It depends on what you want to change but some of the new products listing appearance can be changed by tweaking the settings under Configuration > New Listing in the Admin.
