    application error Emails language problem

    HI all you
    I´m new using Zen and I took this over from somebody that had very little idea. The thing is that I came up with this very annoying issue...
    Our Zen Cart has installed several languages as we sell to many countries in Europe, and the language files adn text translations work fine on display (frontend and backend).
    The problem comes when I noticed some emails generated automatically throuhg the Admin panel (ie. notify the client of his order status) , Zen Cart picks the language to find the proper template and build the email DEPENDING ON THE LANGUAGE YOU ARE USING ON THE ADMIN PANEL.
    The logical way of doing it should be: depending on the country the user is registered on, right?...
    I´d like to know if this is a normal behaviour of the ZenCart or just a mess that the previous person made. And if so... how can I find where to fix that!! I´t really confusing for the rest of the stuf to be changing the language of the Admin Panel to send the email in the correct language.

    It's not a problem with what the previous person did. It's normal behaviour in the current version of Zen Cart.

    Changing it is rather complicated.
    How many languages are you supporting?
    Are you *only* concerned about order-status-update emails?

    Hey, thanx for your quick reply!!
    Well there are other emails because we implemented the Zent Cart with modules like the Recovery Sales. The thing is that I can´t understand this "bug". I understand the process for why and how is that happens, using the Admin panel for generate the emails, make a bit of sense that will use the language session variable... but this should have been fix/changed for generating those emails.
    Anyway... I only wanted to know if it was the cart doing this or it was us who f*cked it up!! (I wouldnt have been surprise of that)
    Our staff will have to get used to it!! We have this cart duplicated few times as we have different products totaly independent from each other, so it would be a nightmare to fix that on all of them carts...

    Ah... I forgot!!
    There are something that really gets on my nerves.
    When inserting, for example, the purchase date on the order confirmation email, it goes always in English. it just simply insert the record on the db and convert it to LONG... but why isn´t translating it too?? I´m starting to think that the language packages for this Zen Cart arent as complete as I thought.
    Little things like the one above are spread all over the Cart and it´s really obvious that it should be translated based on the user´s nationality!! I can´t understand how they´ve missed that!!

    Anyways... It´s a free useful tool developed by some kind men for everybodies use... so I´m no one to criticize their work. My comments are, honestly, just to point out certain things that I believe arent right,... Never mean any bad word for this group of developers who build this for free...
