Default Table Rate / Weight - problem

    Hi all

Up until now, my store has based it's shipping cost based on order value. I need to now change it to shipping based on total weight of order. I thought it would be a simple task of changing the checkbox to 'weight' and then changing the formula. However, when I estimate shipping, i'm getting totally incorrect figures. Here's what I have setup (weight in grams):

    Table Rate

    Enable Table Method
    True

    Shipping Table
    0-100:1.50,101-240:2.25,241-300:2.75,301-500:275,501-750:3.25,751-1000:3.95,1001-1250:5.00,1251-1500:5.70,1501-1750:6.40,1751-2000:7.20

    Table Method
    weight

    Handling Fee
    0

    Tax Class
    --none--

    Tax Basis
    Shipping

    Shipping Zone
    UK

    Sort Order

Just to be a little clearer. If I add a product of 125g I get an estimated shipping cost of £2.75 instead of £2.25 as outlined above.

Sorry, I eventually worked it out. The formula I needed was:

    100:1.50,240:2.25,300:2.75,500:2.75,750:3.25,1000:3.95,1250:5.00,1500:5.70,1750: 6.40,2000:7.20;

I'm just posting this in case anyone else gets the same problem.

    Thanks

    Dene

Thanks for the update that you were using an incorrect syntax on the settings ...

NOTE: if you are working in grams, the Shipping/Packaging is set to Maximum Weight: 50 ... you will want to increase that to work with your table settings properly as you have a rate at 2000 and the Maximum Weight would never get beyond 50 before breaking up the weight into "multiple boxes" of 50 or less ...
