Email Error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.

Hello all,

I believe that I have done everything in my power to make sure my email settings are correct yet i still get the following error.

"Email Error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host."

I host my website on Yahoo! and I want to set it up so it sends email.

I used the following resources to help me

Is there anything I am missing?

Have you checked with Yahoo's tech support to confirm that the settings in the wiki still work?

I did do that. After calling them, I used the correct settings and it still doesn't work.

To me, I seem to have done everything methodically yet, it doesn't work.

I bet it's something small yet it keeps irking me.

Any ideas on where to go from here?

Unfortunately, I believe it no longer matters. It turns out that Yahoo! Business Hosting does not support third party SMTP servers.
