    help question Payment module suggestions for modification?

    Hello all,

    A friend of mine has signed with a credit card processor for which there is no payment module, so I'll have to modify one of the existing ones.

    The info is sent to the processor using variables directly in the URL (&xxx=yyy, etc).

    My question is which of the already existing payment modules uses this method so I can have a basis to start editing it?

    Thanks in advance for any pointers,

    Nugar

    Hi Nugar,

    Modifying a module is not always as easy at it seems, trust me lol I've spent loads of time getting my payment module running. If you can give me as much detail as possable ie. the proccessers website and any intergration info, I will see if I can help.

    Regards

    Hello Nixak,

    Thanks for your answer

    Here's the info:

    Their site is http://www.paguelofacil.com (Spanish only, it seems).

    In their instructions, they tell you how to place a button and the corresponding link that sends you to their site.

    The button is just a gif hosted at their site and impractical from an ecommerce point of view (I wouldn't like to add that gif to each product! Unless I can get it automated, that is )

    About the link:
    The link is composed of three parameters:
    CCLW: a mandatory string identifying the store
    CMTN: optional. it shows the transaction amount. it should be formated showing two decimals and using a period as separator ie: 1234.56
    CDSC: optional. this parameter sends the prodct description

    The final link with all parameters looks like this (including the image):

    Code:
    <a href="https://secure.paguelofacil.com/LinkDeamon.cfm?CCLW=A7BFCAF7B672CCEFCD5E09A9CD5ADAC8FC32CF0FB3A5FAF08A7ADFD4389BA73B&CMTN=550.00&CDSC=A product description">
    <img src="https://secure.paguelofacil.com/images/botones/BTComprarSquare.png" width="101" height="128" border="0" />
    </a>
    That's the info they provide in the pdf they gave me.

    Thanks in advance,

    Nugar

    Hi Nugar,

    I'm at work at the moment but from what you've described it should be possable to create a payment module ...... should lol.

    Do you have any details on what type of encryption they use ie XOR, AES etc etc?

    Regards
    Nixak

    Ok I have just had a quick look now that I'm home.

    There's a couple of things I've noticed:
    1) They don't seem to redirect back to your store after they have taken payment - I don't think zen cart will reconize the orders and as such it won't record them, although this could be a bad intergration guide or there may be a mod that changes this.
    2) Although no personal details are sent, as the url is unencrypted It's wide open to middle man attacks (changing the price etc etc.)

    Because of point number 2 it's not something I would be willing to get involed in. Tell your friend there's loads of good payment gateways out there, I personally like Sage Pay (although I had to create a module for them myself because I wasn't going to pay someone £75 for one lol)

    Sorry I can't be of more help

    Thanks Nixak,

    I had already tell them about 2checkout, which has served me well, since here in Panama we don't have merchant accounts, or rather, cheap ones.

    I thought the fact that the url was https meant it was encrypted?

    Thanks anyway, and back to the original question, is there any ready made payment module that would be easily modified for this?

    Cheers,

    Nugar

    It is a little late, but I will be glad to help. Paguelofacil is a PCI compliant company and trust me we are wayyyyyy more secure than 2checkout, I've personally messed several times the payment process of 2checkout so we don't make the same mistakes, there is no way in pf you can edit the url amount and go through the process as you can do it in 2co.

    we also support returning to your cart and we will send back any variable you send to us. We already have several plugins for oscommerce, jomla, etc...
