Default .htaccess file for root directory needed

I have accidentally deleted the .htaccess file that goes in the root directory of the site.( same folder as ipn_main_handler.php and page_not_found.php)

Can someone please post the code here or if its unsafe , please PM it to me.

    Fast help appreciated.

Zen Cart DOES NOT have, supply, nor need a .htaccess for the root of the site.
If *you* want to add one for yourself, feel free.
But Zen Cart doesn't need one. That's why there isn't one in the distribution files for Zen Cart.

    Got it.

Should I create one as mentioned here and upload it?

That depends: are you encountering hacker activity?

And, why are you running an old version of Zen Cart that's vulnerable to hackers?

I was hacked 6 months ago and it was a mess.

At the present time, I have installed all other patches and fixes that you have mentioned in this permanent post.

    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131115

I am a little bit uncomfortable to upgrade to 1.3.9e myself. I have solicited some paid help and hopefully it will be upgraded soon. Also, I am running my store on a template, and not sure if that template will work with zc1.3.9, and other 20 mods that I have installed. So I guess in a way i am also waiting until all those mods are revised.
