Addon versions

I am new to Zen Cart so please forgive my ignorance.

I have been looking at various add ons for Zen Cart and I am wondering what the general rule is concerning installing older add ons for previous versions of Zen Cart...?

Would add ons built for 1.3.8 most likely work with 1.3.9e?

...which discusses which add-ons have been tested with ZC v1.3.9 so that would be a good place to start.

If the add-on you want to install isn't mentioned in that thread then see if you can find a support thread for the add-on and check there.

Quite a lot of add-ons that are listed as being for v1.3.8 work fine with v1.3.9 so the authors haven't uploaded a new version specially for v1.3.9.
