Then it's probably my cat structure. I'll try a new Zen install and compare between the 2 sites.

Thanks, just wanted to check if anything had changed!

I'm not sure where you get the impression there are problems with this mod...it works as advertised...when the categories are set up as per the instructions.

It is in use on my site www dot motorvista dot es/tienda.

Thanks for the link, like the site very nice and as you said it works very well. I must be doing something wrong. I normally can sort things out for myself but this has had my head spinning. Guess a bad day, perhaps if I sleep on it and try again. Basically what i would like to do is to select car make, then model and then year and also product group like Filters or Suspension but I guess this is a step too far. Which is why I thought this was a good compromise. Thanks again and for sharing.

I suggest you set up a test site, drop in the mod to see it working correctly, then you can start making step-by-step changes towards meeting your needs, fixing/changing the code as you break/change the functionality from the original. Since I did not code it, I can't help on that front.

I have my multiple category drop-downs up and running but have a question around after selections are made. How do I display what was selected?
Right now after selection is made, it goes back to default.
    I am Using ZenCart v1.5.0.

Looking for a result like this, after the selection are made.
This is an example from some other site:

    HTML Code:
How do I display what was selected?
Although its in the page navigation breadcrumb, I have long been meaning to add persistance to the drop down, to maintain the selection visible when it dumps you in the category, never got round to it as this bit of code has always worked/never had to fix it therefore I don't know how it really works.

Nontheless I think its just a question of passing the selections as POST variables when the page changes and the code looking for them to pre-populate the form.

    Easier said than done...

I really appreciate this MOD and I have question that
If I want to add one more category how can I do that??

    * Make * Model * Year * Size

    top-category -
    sub-category level 1 -
    subsub-category level 2 -
    subsubsub-category level 3 -
subsubsubsub-category level 4 which contains the product

Hi, we use this contribution as sidebox in a website with thousends of motorbike spare parts and the huge amount of categories and products results in a massive production of this query:

SELECT COUNT( * ) AS total
    FROM products p, products_to_categories p2c

And as you can imagine website gets slower and slower when there are many customers.

Is there a way to avoid the check to see if there are products in the categories? We have no empty categories, so it's useless for us and in some case we're so slow that I have to remove the sidebox for a while..

    Thanks!!
