Help, I need to put text under thumbnails in multiple images

I'm uploading my products to my zen cart build today. I have a lot of multiple images of clothing, and I need to be able to put the color of the clothing underneath the corresponding image, as so many are really similar, black, dark green, dark navy - that it's hard to tell which is which.

Can someone tell me how to do this. I haven't been able to figure it out.

Here is a page, you can see how confusing this is when people are looking at the pants, it would help so much if the color could be underneath. I don't have my attributes loaded yet, I want to get this straightened out first.

I'm using Image Handler 2 for my images.

Options:
1. include with the image a title

2. in lieu of additional image system add to attributes as a swatch

Add attributes to one and in the attributes controlles add as a swatch

I'm sorry, I'm still pretty new at this and I'm not understanding how this works, could you explain " in lieu of additional image system add to attributes as a swatch."

I found a link that gave me code so that when you hover over an image it gives you the name, but I'm using magic zoom, so the additional image file that does this has been replaced by a magic zoom file so I can't figure out how to edit that file to insert the code given in the link. I would really rather have the name underneath instead of on mouseover, though.

Dear strugglingnovice, Can you advise how you manage to get the the text for colors under your images in the product info page. I wish to do the same.

Given that you're already committed to using a mod which has limited your options, you might want to use kobra's first suggestion: add the text as part of the image. That seems a simple and clean way to do it, though of course the text size will increase with the image when it is zoomed, so it will have to be carefully done to ensure the text is readable at both small and large sizes.

Thank you for your advice. I have solved the problem by adding the text to the image itself using IrfanView and re-upload the image.

Or you could use Additional Image Titles from Free Addons, which will let you specify text to go above and/or below any desired additional product image.
