URL input to EZ page / static page

Hi Forum

I'm running the newest version of Zen Cart.

I have a page (currently its an EZ page "page 2") that I would like to accept url input - like this:

http://www.site.com/index.php?main_page=page_2&?input=herewego

When I set up a regular static page outside zencart with:
<?php echo $_GET["input"]; ?> everything works, but I cannot get it to work with "index.php".


Is the solution to create a static page?

I would like my page to contain zencart header, footer and mainwrapper - just like the "page 2" EZ page.

Update:
Since Im only using Zen Cart for a show case store - I have no need for any browser sessions or whatever high tech stuff might be needed in a normal situation.

An additional question - would URL input like described above pose as a pontential security risk?

Hello there i was trying to look for some one to help me, may be you could.
this is the first time i am working with zen cart. i am trying to link to page_2 to a product page how do i do that, if you could help me please. thank you
