Default paypal, proxy service and code removal

    Ver. 1.3.7
    host: godaddy

Two weeks ago the paypal express module stopped working. The shopping cart request stopped going out. It goes only to a paypal error message requesting a return to the shopping cart for check out.

Paypal says that it is a proxy service issue and to contact the host. Godaddy tells me that Godaddy no longer allows a proxy service and that the use of the proxy must be removed from the zencart code.

Where should I do that? Does that sound like a solution?
    Thanks.

    Solution / Update:
I went into admin, config, my store, curl and turned it off. The express check out is now working.

hmm.. I want to correct myself. It is Paypal that no longer accepts the use of a proxy service. When my shopping cart was first set up, I had to use it, no longer. Hope that clarifies.

Is there somewhere where updates to issues like this are posted by companies like Paypal?

    I'm sorry, but you're mistaken.

It was GoDaddy who used to require the use of a proxy server (their own) for making connections to PayPal (over CURL). Zen Cart had to be coded to support that requirement many years ago. Since then GoDaddy has finally decided to remove the need for a proxy server, but has even gone so far as blocking traffic that even *attempts* to use their old proxy server.

Since your site was set up to use the proxy, that's what was causing you the errors.

It's not a PayPal issue. It was/is a GoDaddy issue.
