Default standard, priority, and express shipping, for several zones! how?

I would like to set up several flat shipping rates based on the order total and I'm not sure the best way to go about it.

    Here's what I'd like:

    us and canada:

    under $50: $2
    50-99: $3
    $100+: free

which I believe translates to this (look, i did figure out something!):

    50:2.00,99.99:3.00,100:0.00

International (everywhere else) is the same, only instead of $2,$3, free, it will be $4, $5, $6.

Then I want a new set of shipping for those who want to upgrade from USPS first class..

    US only:
    priority: $5
    express: $18

    International (everywhere else)
    Priority
    express

What exactly do I need to do to make this happen? PLease feel free to use very small words and talk to me like a 5 year old -- ESPECIALLY if it involves zones and zone definitions!

I am using the latest zen cart

    thanks!

You did not appear to have completed this thought ...

    International (everywhere else)

How much are those International amounts suppose to be?

NOTE: something that coincidentally was posted today were clones for the Zone Rate zones shipping module that might be of help to you:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...167#post923167

These would allow you to setup multiple Zone Rate modules and after all is working, you can change the language files to read anything you want for the shipping name ...

You're right, I left out the last amounts because I didn't want to have to go look them up :)

    International (including Canada):
$12.95: USPS Priority Mail International Flat Rate - 6-10 days
$27.95: USPS Express Mail International - 5 days

    There we go :)

Thanks Linda - I will check out that module! The zone stuff eludes me but I will get it... someday...

OK, I have installed the multiple Zone Rates, and I think the use of "zone" in so many places is confusing me.

It looks like I just have to add a whole buch of ISO country codes to the "zones" in the shipping module and don't have to muck around with zone definitions?

Is there a quick and dirty "every ISO code" file/post somewhere?

So, just so I get this straight, here's what I think I'm doing.

shipping modules, zone rates - set each zone for my standard shipping prices

shipping modules zone rates 2 (from the addon module) I set all these zones for my priority shipping prices,

and then zone rates 3 i set everything up for express.

    Am I getting this right?

Thank you so much for your help!

Let's pretend you installed that nice handy add on with the cloned Zone Rate shipping modules ...

If you installed them right, you should see in the Modules ... Shipping ...
    Zones Rate zones
    Zones Rate 2 zones2
    Zones Rate 3 zones3
    Zones Rate 4 zones4
    Zones Rate 5 zones5

Set up Zones Rate zones as:
    Zone 1 Countries
    US,CA

    Zone 1 Shipping Table
    50:2.00,99.99:3.00,10000:0.00

    Zone 1 Handling Fee
    0

Handling Per Order or Per Box Zone 1 (when by weight)
    Order

    Zone 2 Countries
    00

    Zone 2 Shipping Table
    50:4.00,99.99:5.00,10000:6.00

    Zone 2 Handling Fee
    0
Setup Zone Rates 2 zones2 as:
    Zone 1 Countries
    US,CA

    Zone 1 Shipping Table
    10000:5.00

    Zone 1 Handling Fee
    0

Handling Per Order or Per Box Zone 1 (when by weight)
    Order

    Zone 2 Countries
    00

    Zone 2 Shipping Table
    10000:12.95

    Zone 2 Handling Fee
    0

Setup Zone Rates 3 zones3 as:
    Zone 1 Countries
    US,CA

    Zone 1 Shipping Table
    10000:18.00

    Zone 1 Handling Fee
    0

Handling Per Order or Per Box Zone 1 (when by weight)
    Order

    Zone 2 Countries
    00

    Zone 2 Shipping Table
    10000:27.95

    Zone 2 Handling Fee
    0
So now you should see 3 shipping rates for US/CA or International ... and I think I set all the rates correctly ...

I built into the Zone Rate zones shipping module, a long, long time ago a feature for "everyone else" ... using the 00 as the Zones Countries ...

I didn't like trying to type in a bazillion countries either ...

Hi i have read this thread and thought that this would work for me but I am not sure now. I sell magazine and have a set price for each item. I have setup the perunit module and just add the shipping price to the weight section.

What I would like to do is how can I setup to ship internationally. I have a set price for the magazine shipping international.

I saw were you recomended the multiple zone module. Do you think I could implement that and use it?

    Thanks for you help
