1.3.9f upgrading with renamed admin?

I just noticed that a couple days ago release f was announced... go figure, just days before I plan to go live. Oh well. Anyways, my question is can the upgrade be done easily since I have renamed my admin folder? Must I rename the admin back to admin in order to run the upgrade or can I leave it different? I would like to keep it that way to minimize the hassles of updating the config files again, especially since I have to do it when the site goes live.

Also, seeing that I have never applied updates, is it safe to assume that my overrides will stay the same or should I use WinMerge to compare those overrided files for any core changes?

What version do you have today?

I have a fresh install of 1.3.9e

There were only a handful of files changed between v1.3.9e and v1.3.9f. Those are detailed in the /docs/ folder. Open the changelog-1-3-9f.html file with your browser, and you'll see the list of files that were changed.
All you need to do is replace those files by copying them to your server. *NOTE: If you've customized any of those files, you'll want to use WinMerge to compare and copy your changes into the new version of the files. Same if you have addons that have changed any of those files.

hi, just a quick question to clarify... we still need to rename our 'admin' folders to match the old when we update to 1.3.9, correct? i am upgrading from 1.3.8a to 1.39g. thanks.
