Can I show the out of stock arrival date on product listing?

is there a way to show the date an item is to be back in stock on the items page?

This is not a feature of Zen Cart but you can always customize the products table, the admin for adding/editing and store display to show this ...

thanks, i know that it does show the date an item will be back in stock when you click on the item (at the bottom of the item) but most the time they see its just out of stock and dont bother to get any other info.

If you are using the existing Date Available for managing your out of stock products ... you could display this date anywhere else that you need to see it ...

The problem is knowing when the Date Available is the real date for when the sold out product is back in stock and when that date is an old one ...

One method might be to add the date available when the sold out is displayed IF the date available is a "future" date and not a "past" date ...

This would result in seeing the Sold Out as you do now ... plus IF the date available is greater than the current date it would display the date, otherwise just the Sold Out ...
